About Us

Four cars lined up in a parking lot at the first Baseline Rally — a black Jeep Cherokee, a silver Scion tC, a dark green Mazda Miata, and a black BMW Z3 roadster.

Baseline Rally (BLR) was founded in 2016 by a group of high school students who shared a love for cars but felt shut out of the traditional rally scene. At the time, many automotive rallies came with major financial barriers that made them inaccessible to younger enthusiasts like us. Rather than waiting for an opportunity to be included, we decided to create our own.

BLR was founded on a simple principle: it does not matter what you drive, how much it costs, or who you are. Everyone deserves the opportunity to experience car culture, meet other enthusiasts, and create lasting memories on the road.

What began with us gathering in a high school parking lot has grown into a community of hundreds of enthusiasts. Over the past decade, Baseline Rally has hosted dozens of rallies, meets, and events throughout Michigan. Today, BLR continues to create thoughtfully planned leisure rallies featuring scenic routes, unique destinations, local partnerships, and unforgettable experiences.

Whether you drive a classic, an exotic, a tuner, or your everyday pride and joy, Baseline Rally is about sharing the journey, building a community, and enjoying cars the way they were meant to be enjoyed.

It does not matter what you drive.
It does not matter who you are.
It is always for the love of cars.
